Ingredients
- Biscuit Base: 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter (cold and cubed), 3/4 cup (180 ml) buttermilk (cold), 1 large egg
- Buffalo Ranch Layer: 1/3 cup (75 g) cream cheese (softened), 1/4 cup (60 ml) ranch dressing, 1/4 cup (60 ml) buffalo wing sauce, 1 cup (115 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup (25 g) sliced green onions
- Pretzel Topping: 1 cup (50 g) mini pretzels (roughly crushed), 2 tablespoons (30 g) unsalted butter (melted), 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prep & Line Pan:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
- Cut In Butter:
- Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Wet Ingredients:
- Whisk buttermilk and egg together. Add to the flour mixture, stir until just combined (do not overmix).
- Press Into Pan:
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Prepare Buffalo Ranch Layer:
- Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce until smooth. Spread evenly on biscuit base.
- Add Cheese & Onions:
- Sprinkle cheddar and green onions over the layer.
- Make Pretzel Topping:
- Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and garlic powder. Scatter on top.
- Bake:
- Bake 22–25 minutes until edges are golden and center is set.
- Cool & Serve:
- Cool in pan for at least 10 minutes, then cut into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.
