02 - 1 cup cooked ham, finely chopped (approximately 5.3 oz or 150 g)

03 - 1 small onion, finely diced
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

→ Pantry & Bindings

05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (about 1.4 oz or 40 g), plus additional for dusting
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ For Frying

09 - 2 to 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or unsalted butter

# How to Make:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, incorporate mashed potatoes, chopped ham, diced onion, parsley if using, egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is thick and uniform.
02 - With floured hands, shape the mixture into 8 equal patties, each approximately 2.5 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. Lightly dust each patty with flour to prevent sticking.
03 - Warm the vegetable oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
04 - Fry the patties in batches without overcrowding the pan. Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
05 - Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately while hot.
