# What You Need:
→ Noodles & Protein
01 - 2 packs instant ramen noodles (preferably Buldak or other spicy Korean ramen)
02 - 7 oz boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
→ French Onion Base
03 - 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
04 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 tsp sugar
08 - 1/2 tsp salt
09 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
10 - 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
→ Broth & Seasonings
11 - 2 cups chicken broth
12 - 1 packet Buldak or spicy Korean ramen sauce
13 - 1 tsp soy sauce
→ Toppings
14 - 1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese
15 - 2 tbsp chopped chives or green onions
16 - 1 small French baguette, cut into thin slices, toasted
# How to Make:
01 - In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring frequently, until deeply caramelized, about 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle sugar, salt, and black pepper to enhance caramelization.
02 - Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Optionally, deglaze the pan with dry white wine and allow to reduce slightly.
03 - In a separate pan over medium-high heat, sauté chicken slices until golden and fully cooked, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Set aside.
04 - Add chicken broth and soy sauce to the caramelized onions. Bring to a simmer, then add ramen noodles. Cook until noodles are just tender following package instructions.
05 - Stir in the Buldak or spicy Korean ramen sauce until noodles and broth are evenly coated and flavorful.
06 - Add the cooked chicken to the pot and gently mix to combine evenly.
07 - Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot noodles, cover with a lid, and allow it to melt for 1 to 2 minutes. Alternatively, broil briefly to brown the cheese topping.
08 - Ladle noodles into bowls and garnish with chopped chives or green onions. Serve with toasted baguette slices on the side.
