# What You Need:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
06 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Add-ins

09 - 3/4 cup dried apples, chopped
10 - 1/2 cup soft caramel candies, chopped

→ For Drizzling (optional)

11 - 1/3 cup caramel sauce

# How to Make:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until evenly blended.
03 - In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
05 - Gently fold in chopped dried apples and caramel candies, ensuring even distribution.
06 - Divide dough in half. On the prepared baking sheet, shape each half into a log approximately 12 inches long and 2 inches wide. Flatten slightly.
07 - Bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow logs to cool for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F.
08 - Using a serrated knife, slice logs diagonally into 3/4-inch-thick pieces. Arrange cut side down on baking sheet.
09 - Bake for 12 minutes, flip each piece, and bake an additional 8–10 minutes, until crisp and thoroughly dried. Cool completely on wire rack.
10 - If desired, drizzle cooled dunkers with caramel sauce before serving.
